Hathcock History: Where there is trash there is treasure

Hunting old dumps can prove to be one of the most profitable forms of treasure hunting the average person will ever experience. A hundred years ago, people didn’t think twice about burying trash on their own property.  Bottles, jugs, old plates and farm tools; all were unceremoniously dumped into pits in the ground. These are all nice finds and many bring a fair price in today’s markets but not everything found in a dump was meant to be discarded.
